On Wednesday, March 3rd Hardware Strength & Conditioning honored its very own Gizem Stern with the “Suck it Cancer!–Shero WOD.”

Gizem joined Hardware in January of 2019 and shares that it was one of the best fitness decisions she has ever made and that being a part of this community brings her such joy. Fast forward to October 2020, Gizem was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent 4 months of chemotherapy. She shares that chemo was rough but produced ideal results. On March 8th, Gizem underwent two surgeries (double mastectomy and oophorectomy) to remove the chance of cancer returning back. Gizem looks forward to being back at Hardware!
