Bio
Astrid’s athletic journey began with basketball in middle school, continuing into high school before she shifted focus toward academics and school clubs. In college, she discovered a passion for lacrosse and CrossFit, training under her team captain’s guidance. It was during this time that she realized the importance of proper nutrition, especially fueling with enough protein.
Her dedication to movement quality stems from her experience with four knee surgeries, reinforcing her commitment to injury prevention—particularly around the knees and hips. She believes that you only get one body, and it should be treated with love and care.
Astrid took a step away from CrossFit to spend a year and a half refining her Olympic weightlifting technique. This focus on precision and strength paid off, allowing her to improve her lifts and movement mechanics.
As a coach, Astrid is passionate about meeting each athlete where they are, ensuring they move safely and effectively. She finds immense joy in seeing her athletes grow and develop. Outside of coaching, she enjoys volunteering at the shelter, fostering dogs, reading historical nonfiction, biking, and spending time outdoors with her dog, Cash.
